Privacy Policy
This policy covers every Grey Horse Software app: RevOBD2, RelaySFTP, and Dock-It, as well as this website.
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Our apps do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party data SDKs. Everything each app handles stays on the device you run it on.
Automotive Diagnostics
RevOBD2
When you connect to a vehicle, RevOBD2 reads and stores, only in the app's own storage on your device, data such as:
- Vehicle identifiers (VIN, calibration and strategy IDs, module information)
- Diagnostic trouble codes and freeze-frame data
- Live sensor readings, recorded charts, and exported logs you create
- Session and connection health history
- Your dashboard layouts, gauge configurations, and app settings
This information is never sent to us or to any third party. You can delete it at any time from within the app (for example, "Clear Vehicle Caches"), and exports (CSV recordings, diagnostic archives, vehicle-cache exports) are written only to locations you choose.
Bluetooth
RevOBD2 uses Bluetooth solely to communicate with your OBD-II adapter. It does not scan for, identify, or track any other devices or people, and no Bluetooth data leaves your device.
Local automation interface (macOS)
On macOS, RevOBD2 includes an optional local automation interface (an MCP server) that is off by default and, when you enable it, listens only on your own computer (localhost). It is not reachable from the internet and transmits nothing externally.
Secure File Transfer
RelaySFTP
Connection details you enter (hostnames, usernames, credentials, and access keys) are stored only on your device and are used only to connect to the servers and storage services you configure. Transfers happen directly between your machine and those servers; no file, credential, or transfer log ever passes through us.
Productivity
Dock-It
Your dock configurations and settings are stored only on your Mac. Dock-It sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
Purchases
Each app is free to download with a time-limited trial; a one-time purchase unlocks continued use. Purchases on the App Store are processed by Apple; direct purchases from our website are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We never receive or store your payment card details. Those companies handle payment data under their own privacy policies.
